Fiat Justicia Ruat Caelum
The Latin phrase, Fiat Justicia Ruat Caelum, has traditionally been displayed over the justices in the Supreme Court chamber. The English translation of the phrase is “Let justice be done though the heavens may fall.” This phrase is more than a saying, but rather the Court’s commitment to serving the citizens of Georgia.
